Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Directs and controls the daily operations to ensure the school is running according to Goldfish Swim School standard operating procedures.
  2. Manages and actively coaches staff to ensure high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee morale
  3. Responsible for member acquisition and retention
  4. Effectively and successfully manages customer inquiries and issues
  5. Oversees scheduling, recruiting, interviewing and training of staff
  6. Helps promote Goldfish Swim School to the local community
  7. Maintains a constant, visible physical presence in public areas during open hours
  8. Meets with the General Manager on regular basis to ensure the smooth running of the business
  9. Oversees facility management and maintenance
  10. Maintains current certifications and stays up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
  11. Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor and/or childcare provider is a plus. Two years management experience preferred.

Certificates and Licenses: Lifeguard, CPR/AED and first Aid certification required. Training provided.

Work Environment: While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise level is usually moderate.
